Research:
Your multigenre paper will be based on research you conduct in the
library and outside of class. Research does require critical thinking and
academic honesty. Therefore, guidelines are in place to support you
through this process. Click on the link for the
Research Proposal Form.

Things to Consider:
1. Copy or print a source only if it contains useful information
2. You must have & keep a copy of all sources you gather and use
3. You might copy and paste a web/data base article in Word to save
paper
4.  You will take notes from all your sources, type the notes, and turn
them in
5.  You will create an annotated bibliography of your sources following

Note Taking

Suggestions for Taking Notes:
1.  Note Card Method
•   Use 3x5 note cards
•   Write the source at the top using proper MLA format
•   Indicate the page number
•   Write the context of the note
•   One note only on the note card

2.  Dialectical Method
•   Read the source
•   Turn the source over and type what you remember
•   In the margin, comment on the notes you took (can hand write
 these)
•   If you go back for some direct quotes, be sure to track the
information properly
Annotated Bibliography

An annotated bibliography is a record of your sources in MLA format
coupled with a brief summary of the source in paragraph form.  You
will have 9 or mote sources in your annotated bibliography.  This will
be typed and turned in. Click the link for more information and a
