| Classroom Expectations Responsibilities: 1. BE ON TIME WITH ALL MATERIALS 2. PARTICIPATE WITH THE INTENTION OF LEARNING 3. POSITIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO OUR CLASS COMMUNITY 4. FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS WITH ACADEMIC HONESTY 5. BE RESPECTFUL Rewards For Your Success! Praise, Personal Recognition, Classroom Leadership Roles, Positive Notes Home, Certificates, Class or School Nominated Awards… Consequences: 1st time: You will be redirected by the teacher 2nd time: You will have a more formal meeting with the teacher about 3rd time: You will receive a detention. During the detention, an action plan will be created Severe clause: Further insubordination will result in an office referral Policies Forms of Assessment Daily Participation- 10% Homework- 15% Tests, Quizzes, & Projects- 25% Informal Performances- 20% Formal Performance- 30% Late Work & Missing Work If you have an emergency and you cannot finish your work on time, talk to Mrs. Greer FIRST thing in the morning to make arrangements, AND bring a note from a parent (parent email is acceptable as well). Credit for late work will be given as follows: 50% if handed in late. Late means you do not have it as soon as you enter the classroom. You will not be allowed to get it from your locker. 0% credit given if the work is not handed in by or before the next class session. Three late pieces of work will result in an after school detention If the situation continues, an action plan will be created Academic Dishonesty (Cheating) Any student that is found cheating will receive an automatic 0% mark on that piece of work and your parents will be notified. *Refer to page 31 in your ACS 2006-2007 Agenda* Excused Absences Excused absences are considered legitimate reasons for not being at school. *Refer to the guidelines on page 9 in the ACS Agenda* Use my email: tgreer@acsamman.edu.jo or our class website: www.mrsgreer.net to keep on top of your work! It is YOUR responsibility to check what you missed and what is due It is YOUR responsibility to make up all missed work and assignments It is YOUR responsibility to meet with the teacher your first day back to collect any needed materials Assignments that are due the day you missed should be turned in during the next class period that you attend Unexcused Absences Missing work from an unexcused absence will receive zero credit. Tardy Policy Tardiness will be noted if you are not in the class on time or if you are not in your seat when class begins Three tardies to class will result in a lunch detention with the teacher Bathroom Use the bathroom during break or in between classes. You will not be released from class unless it is an emergency. Food & Drink You may bring water in a clear container (with a lid or cap) to drink during class. |
